Booking & how it works
How does it work, start to finish?
You reserve your spot, we schedule a quick look at your entrance (in person or from a few photos), Sam designs a look custom to your home, you approve the direction, and we source, deliver, and style everything while you're out. The moment it's done, we send you a photo. At season's end we take it all down and haul it away.
Do I approve the design before you start?
Always. You'll see the direction, the palette, the materials, the feel, and sign off before we source a thing. Nothing goes up as a surprise you didn't want.
What do you actually need from me?
Fifteen minutes to approve a direction, and one-time access to your entrance. That's it. No decisions to agonize over, no supply runs, no ladder.
What if I book late in the season?
We hold a hard reservation cutoff so every homeowner gets a full display run through Thanksgiving. Once a town fills or the date passes, the next opening is the following season, so reserve early to guarantee your fall.
Being there, access & trust
Do I need to be home for the styling visit?
No, and most homeowners aren't. Give us access once; we design, deliver, and style it while you're out, then send you a photo the moment it's done.
How do you access my entrance if I'm not home?
However you're comfortable: a code, a spare key, a side gate, or a neighbor. We only need the entrance, never the inside of your home.
Who's on your team?
A small, vetted team led by Sam. The same trusted, background-checked faces on every visit, not a rotating cast of subcontractors.
Will you post photos of my home?
Only with your permission. Many homeowners love showing off their entrance; if you'd rather stay private, we never share a thing, and we never tag an address.
The design & materials
Real pumpkins or faux?
A curated mix of heirloom pumpkins and preserved natural elements, cleaned and treated at the styling visit so they hold their look all season. If anything fades early, your complimentary mid-season refresh keeps it looking its best.
Where do you source everything?
Heirloom pumpkins and gourds from select growers, preserved and dried botanicals, and wreaths Sam makes by hand. We buy for beauty and longevity, not what's on a big-box shelf.
Can I request specific colors, themes, or a look I love?
Absolutely. Bring us a Pinterest board, a color, a feeling, or leave it entirely to Sam. Either way it's designed to your home, not a kit.
Will it match my home's architecture and style?
That's the whole point. We design to your façade, your door, your stone or shingle, so it looks like it was always meant to be there, not dropped on.
What about HOA or historic-district rules?
Tell us upfront and we design within them. Our work is tasteful and freestanding by nature, which keeps it well inside most guidelines.
Care, durability & safety
Will it survive wind, rain, or snow?
Yes. Everything is weighted, storm-anchored, and weather-sealed to hold up all season. If ordinary weather ever disturbs it, we'll set it right, usually within a couple of days. After a major named storm, we'll reach every home as fast as we safely can.
Will squirrels or animals bother them?
We choose thick-skinned heirloom varieties that critters tend to leave alone, and each piece is cleaned and finished with a natural peppermint-oil deterrent that animals dislike but you'll never notice. It's the same trick we use on our own homes. If anything ever is disturbed, we come set it right as part of your season-long care.
Do I have to water or maintain anything?
Nothing. No watering, no fussing, no cleanup. We handle everything from the first styling visit to removal.
Will anything damage my door, paint, or entrance?
No. We stage on freestanding elements only, nothing that marks, drills, or fastens into your home. Real pumpkins can weep and stain porous stone as they age, so every piece sits on a hidden protective base that keeps moisture off your surface. When we remove at season's end, your entrance is exactly as you left it.
Is it safe for pets and kids?
Yes. Real, treated botanicals and stable, weighted staging. No sharp hazards, nothing toxic left within reach.
Timing & the seasons
When do you style, and how long does it stay up?
Your fall entrance is styled and up by late September and stays flawless through Thanksgiving weekend, about nine weeks, spanning Halloween and Thanksgiving. Your holiday entrance goes up in a single visit the week after Thanksgiving and stays through the New Year, into early January. You're never styling right up to takedown, the whole point is a full season of having it.
Can I choose my date?
We work town by town to keep quality high, so we'll give you a window and confirm your day. Members and early reservations get first pick of dates.
What happens at the end of a season?
We remove and haul everything away. You never touch it.
What's the difference between one season and the membership?
A single collection like The Entrance is one flawless season, fully handled. A Four Seasons membership is every season, every year: four transformations, a signature wreath each season, priority dates, and your rate locked for two years.
Can I start with one season and upgrade later?
Yes. Many homeowners begin with fall and roll into the membership. We'll credit your season and lock your rate when you do.
What does "your rate, locked for two years" mean?
You reserve now at today's rate, and it's guaranteed for two full years, even as we raise prices for everyone who comes after you.
Money & scope
How do I pay?
Memberships are billed annually. Single seasons are 50% at booking, 50% at the styling visit.
What am I actually paying for?
Hand-sourced heirloom materials, a design custom to your home, white-glove home styling and removal, in-season care, and a guaranteed look for the whole season, done without you lifting a finger. Not a box of thoughtful details; a finished, maintained entrance.
Is the price based on my home's size?
The starting price covers a standard entrance. Grander façades, double doors, gates, or grounds scale up. We'll quote it exactly before you commit. The Manor tier is built for estates.
Can I pause or cancel the membership?
Your first year is a commitment so we can plan materials and dates. After that you're free to continue at your locked rate, adjust, or step away. No games.
What areas do you serve?
Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan, Westport, Rye, and Scarsdale.
Do you only do the entrance, or interiors and the whole yard too?
Entrances, gatherings and florals are our craft. We don't do interiors or landscaping, which is exactly why we're so good at the welcome.
Do you do events or real-estate staging?
Yes. A styled entrance makes a listing or a party unforgettable. Ask us about one-time styling for an open house or event.
Can I gift a season?
Yes. A styled entrance makes a memorable gift. Just ask.
How do I book?
Send an inquiry. We take a limited number of homes per town each season.
